On Thursday, March 21, 2014, James Rebhorn passed away at the age of 65. James Rebhorn was a world-renowned actor who was known for his versatility in playing a variety of roles. He appeared in dozens of films, television series, and plays throughout his career. He was born in Philadelphia on September 1, 1948 to the late Arnold Rebhorn and Bernice Rebhorn. He attended the University of Texas at Austin and obtained a degree in English and Theater Arts. James is remembered for his many roles in films such as "Meet the Parents" (2000), "My Cousin Vinny" (1992), "Independence Day" (1996), "Carlito's Way" (1993), and "The Game" (1997). On television, he has starred in "Boston Legal," "Homicide: Life on the Streets," "Seinfeld," "Law & Order," and "The Practice." He also had recurring roles in "White Collar" and "Enlightened." On stage, he appeared in many Broadway and Off-Off Broadway productions including “Inherit the Wind” (1997), “Harvey” (2012), “Amadeus” (2007), and “Twelve Angry Men” (2005). James was a member of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. He is survived by his wife Rebecca Linn, their two daughters Emma and Hannah, and his two sisters, Susan and Judy. James Rebhorn was an exceptional actor with a long and prolific career. He will be deeply missed.
