Jack Klugman, best known for his best-known roles in television sitcoms "The Odd Couple" and "Quincy M.E.", passed away at the age of 90 on December 24, 2012, in Los Angeles, California. Born in Philadelphia on April 27, 1922, Klugman began his career as a Broadway actor, starring on notable productions such as "Golden Boy", "Gypsy", and "Wait Until Dark". He established himself in Hollywood in the 1950's, appearing in many films and shows. He gained notoriety for his role on The Odd Couple, playing Oscar Madison, and later as the titular character on "Quincy M.E.". In 1975, he won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama. Throughout his career, Klugman remained an active force in television, stage, and film. His career spanned across six decades and included various performances on 1960s television shows, stage plays, and films. He has been credited for roles in film such as "The Odd Couple", "The Twilight Zone", and the 1990s series "The Class". Klugman is survived by his sons, two grandchildren, and the many friends and admirers with whom he shared his movies and television performances.
