Jack Kirby, aged 76, passed away on February 6, 1994. Born in 1917, Jack was an American comic book writer and illustrator, and is regarded as one of the most influential and prolific creators in the comic book industry. He created entire genres, including the superhero comic. Kirby is credited for co-creating many characters, including Captain America, The Incredible Hulk, and the Fantastic Four. He also worked with Stan Lee to develop the Marvel Universe. Outside of comics, Jack wrote and drew a number of comic strips and edited comic books for various publishers. His works have been praised for their sheer inventiveness, grounded storytelling, and visual style. Jack Kirby left an indelible impact on the comic book industry, and will be remembered for his lasting work and contributions.
