60 years after he was born in Paris, France in 1943, Hervé Villechaize passed away on September 4th, 1993, at the age of 50. A Hollywood eccentric and actor best known for his portrayals of the villain Tattoo in the 1977 television show 'Fantasy Island', as well as his roles in films such as The Man With The Golden Gun, Cannonball Run, and The Running Man, Villechaize was beloved by the entertainment industry. He was nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series for his role in Fantasy Island, and his collaborations with iconic directors such as Ridley Scott and Blake Edwards further cemented his legacy. Villechaize was an advocate for persons with disabilities, using his platform to fight against marginalization and stereotypes. His passing is mourned by his many fans and friends.
