On the morning of July 30, 2020, Herman Cain, a celebrated business executive, politician, and conservative activist, passed away at the age of 74.
Herman was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on 1945, and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He started his career in marketing, eventually becoming the chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He later served as the CEO of Godfather's Pizza for several years.
During his tenure as CEO of Godfather's Pizza, Herman expanded the company's presence by nearly 700 locations before leaving in 1996. After retiring from the restaurant business, he later went on to pursue a career in political activism.
In 2011, he ran for President of the United States, campaigning on a platform of business-friendly policies and small government solutions. Although brief, his campaign was well-received within the Republican Party.
Herman's passion and commitment to the political process and conservative causes were undeniable. Throughout his public life, he was an outspoken advocate and proponent of free markets and the principles of conservatism.
Though his career in politics was short-lived, Herman left an indelible mark on the conservative movements in the U.S. His tireless work in the fight for smaller government, fewer regulations, and individual freedom will be remembered for generations to come.
The world has lost a great leader in Herman Cain. He is survived by his wife, Gloria, and his children, Melanie, Vincent, Vincent II, and Sarah.
