On November 24, 2012, professional boxer Héctor Camacho died at the age of 50. A native of Bayaman, Puerto Rico, Camacho was an iconic figure in the sport, boasting an impressive 79-6-3 record over the course of his 24-year career. Nicknamed by fans as "Macho Camacho," he won several championships, including the WBC Super Featherweight and WBO Lightweight titles. Camacho was also a flamboyant character who was admired and respected for his showmanship and charisma both in and out of the ring. His death was confirmed by his physician, Dr. Ernest Pizarro, but the cause has yet to be determined. Camacho is survived by his three sons and his mother.
