On 1908-11-14, Guangxu Emperor (1871-1908) died at the age of 37 in the Forbidden City of Beijing, China. He was the eleventh emperor of the Qing dynasty, ruling from 1875-1908. Guangxu Emperor was born on August 14th, 1871 in the Aisin Gioro clan, the imperial family of the Qing dynasty. He became the emperor when he was just four years old and was given the name 'Zaitian'. Under his rule, railway construction began in China and silver currency replaced grains as money. He also worked to put reform measures in place for China's educational system. The death of the Guangxu Emperor marked the end of the Qing dynasty. He is survived by his Conquer and Govern, Empress Dowager Cixi.
