Grace Kelly, the iconic film star, died on September 14, 1982, at the age of 52. Kelly rose to fame as a Hollywood actress in the 1950s, appearing in films such as “High Noon,” “Dial M for Murder,” and her most iconic role, the classic “Rear Window.” In 1955, she won the Best Actress Academy Award for her performance in “The Country Girl.” During her Hollywood tenure, she was voted one of the top female box-office stars, appearing alongside the likes of Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart. In 1956 Kelly famously married Prince Rainier III of Monaco, making the transition from Hollywood to becoming Princess of Monaco. During her reign, she served as patron to numerous charities, and was credited with helping to transform-modernize Monaco into a major tourist destination. Kelly is survived by her husband and their three children, Princess Caroline, Prince Albert, and Princess Stephanie. Kelly touched the lives of people around the world and will be remembered for her iconic style, beauty, and grace.
