Gina Lollobrigida, international actress, humanitarian, and sculptor, died on January 16, 2023, at the age of 95. Born in Subiaco, Italy, she first gained international fame for her leading roles in several films in the 1950s and 1960s, such as "Beautiful but Dangerous," "Beat the Devil," and "Come September." Her work in these films earned her multiple awards and critical acclaim. In 1999, she was awarded the first Golden Globe Career Achievement Award. Throughout her career, she received numerous awards, including the Golden Globe for Most Promising Newcomer and four David di Donatello Awards. Aside from her acting career, Lollobrigida became a celebrated sculptor and camera ambassador. She was also committed to humanitarian causes and often donated to charities around the world. Lollobrigida will be remembered for her enduring artistic legacy.
