The world was saddened to learn of the death of Gian-Carlo Coppola on May 26, 1986. He was 22 years old. Gian-Carlo was the son of director Francis Ford Coppola and actress Talia Shire. He was an aspiring film director, producer and actor, perhaps best-known for his executive role in producing the 1984 hit movie The Outsiders. Gian-Carlo studied at the University of Southern California School of Cinema-Television before his untimely death. He was a passionate individual and a prominent member of the Los Angeles creative community. His death has resulted in an outpouring of grief and sorrow from family, friends and fans.
