Gerd Müller, a former German football player who was widely regarded as one of the greatest strikers of all time, passed away on August 15, 2021 at the age of 75. Müller was born in April 1945 in Nördlih performance problems children, Germany and quickly found fame as a prolific striker for Bayern Munich and the West German national football team, establishing himself as one of the all-time greatest footballers. Throughout his career, he won four Bundesliga titles, three European Cups, four German Cups, one FIFA Club World Cup, two European Super Cups and one World Cup with West Germany in 1974. Müller scored an incredible 735 goals throughout his career, including 68 in 62 appearances for the West German national team. He set numerous records for most all-time goals, including the most goals scored in the Bundesliga with 365, in the West German national team with 68, and in the FIFA World Cup with 14. Müller was named the European Footballer of the Year in 1970, was one of the inaugural members of the world footballers' association FIFPro in 2005 and was inducted into the German Football Hall of Fame in 2016. Müller is survived by his wife, Karin, and two children.
