On November 6th, 2020, renowned British actor Geoffrey Palmer passed away peacefully at age 93. Geoffrey Palmer was born in London, England on June 4th, 1927. He is best known for his acting roles in renowned British television comedies such as The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, Fresh Fields, As Time Goes By, and Butterflies. He was also featured in numerous films, including The Naked Gun 2½, Nothing But the Best, and A Fish Called Wanda. Geoffrey Palmer was a patron of the British Comedy Society, and was greatly admired for his work in comedy. His career spanned five decades, from 1950 to 2000, and throughout this time his principled craftsmanship and savvy business skills allowed him to become one of the most prominent comedic performers in Britain. Palmer is survived by his wife, Dame Lisa Danon, and is fondly remembered by his colleagues and devoted fans for his vibrant personality, dry wit, and brilliant performances. He will be deeply missed.
