Fred Trump, a real estate tycoon and the father of the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, passed away peacefully on June 25, 1999 at the age of 93. Born in Queens, New York in 1905, Fred Trump was the son of a German immigrant. He graduated from the New York City public school system before entering real estate development in 1927. Eventually, Fred owned and managed an empire of more than 27,000 low-and middle-income housing units in New York City, along with buildings in the boroughs of Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island. In his later years, Fred Trump was best known for being the father of future President Donald J. Trump. Fred was very supportive of his son and was instrumental in the success of his early business endeavors. Fred Trump is survived by his children, Donald J. Trump, Robert S. Trump, and Maryanne Trump Barry; his grandchildren, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump, Tiffany Trump, and Barron Trump; and his great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for his business acumen and his commitment to his family.
