Frank Gorshin (April 5, 1933 - May 17, 2005) passed away at the age of 72. Frank was a beloved actor and comedian. He was best known for his performances as "The Riddler" on the popular classic 1960s television series Batman. Frank played the iconic role in the show's first season and made several appearances in subsequent seasons. He was nominated for an Emmy for the role. Before Batman, he made his TV debut on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1956, and went on to appear as a guest actor on such classic shows as The Twilight Zone, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Naked City, 120-Minute Epics, It Takes A Thief, and Love American Style. He also had roles in films such as Twelve Monkeys, The Champ, Sweet November, and Westworld. Frank was also known for his performances in stand-up and improvisational comedy. Throughout his career, Frank received numerous accolades and awards for his work, and he will be remembered as an incredibly talented entertainer.
