On May 17, 1966, Felix Steiner sadly passed away at the age of 69. He was born in German Empire (now Germany), and served as an Army officer in the Wehrmacht, attaining the rank of Obergruppenfuhrer (General). He fought in World War II and was a Knight's Cross recipient. He was the mastermind behind the Eleventh SS-Panzer Army, formed at the end of the war, and was the last commander of troops in the Berlin area in 1945. He was an accomplished military strategist and leader, and his efforts will never be forgotten. His legacy lives on through his service and devotion. He is survived by his wife, family and friends.
