Edward Woodward, beloved English actor, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 16, 2009 at the age of 79. Edward was born on June 1, 1930 in Croydon, Surrey, England. He had a passion for the theatre from a very young age and began acting professionally at the age of 16. Through an illustrious 40-year career, Edward earned a reputation as one of the finest actors of his generation. He attained international recognition for his roles in The Wicker Man, Breaker Morant, The Equalizer, and Hot Fuzz. Edward was happily married to actress Michele Dotrice for 41 years until his death. He was also a wonderful father to his three children, Tim, Peter, and Emily. Edward's remarkable legacy of acting and cultural contributions will endure for generations to come. He will live on in our hearts forever.
