Don Imus, 79, a long-time radio host, died on December 27, 2019. Most recently, Don was the host of his talk radio show “Imus in the Morning” which aired on over 60 stations nationally. Since 1970, the show featured guests such as Rev. Al Sharpton, former president Bill Clinton, the Dixie Chicks, and Klansman David Duke. Over the course of his career, he won several awards including a Billboard Honor for Best Syndicated Air Personality, the National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Award for Syndicated Radio Personality Of The Year, and the National Radio Hall Of Fame Marconi Radio Award for Network/Syndication Personality Of The Year. Originally from Riverside, California, Don developed a life-long love for horses, and later owned a horse ranch in New Mexico. He is survived by his wife Deirdre and four children. Don will be remembered for his decades-long career in radio and his dedication to the horse ranching industry.
