He is famously known as the co-founder of the Red Bull energy drink and the company that produces and distributes it. After completing his studies in marketing and, inspired by his time in Asia, coming up with the idea of an energy drink, he teamed up with his partner Chaleo Yoovidhya; and in 1987, Red Bull became a reality. In 2006, he was named as the world's 486th richest man by Forbes Magazine, with an estimated worth of $3.5 billion. In addition to his success in the business world, Dietrich was also a record-setting pilot. Dietrich leaves behind his wife, Sonja Mateschitz.
