Legendary television producer and host Dick Clark passed away on April 18th, 2012 at the age of 82. As the iconic "America's oldest teenager," Clark hosted the music variety show American Bandstand from 1952 to 1989, as well as the annual New Year's Rockin' Eve Special since 1972. Along with a staggering list of other accomplishments in the entertainment business, he was perhaps best known for his hallmark catchphrase: "For now... and forevermore, this is Dick Clark." His career in television and entertainment spanned almost six decades and earned him numerous awards, including a national Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Lifetime Achievement Award, an Emmy award, and a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. After suffering from a stroke in 2004, Clark continued to make appearances on television, but turned the hosting duties of New Year's Rockin' Eve over to his co-host, Ryan Seacrest. Clark leaves behind his wife, Kari Wigton, and three children, Duane Clark, Richard Augustus Clark, and Cindy Clark.
