Dennis Farina, a beloved Chicago-born actor, died in 2013 at the age of 69. He is survived by his wife Marianne Cahill and his three sons from his previous marriage, including sons Dennis Jr. and Michael, and daughter Sharon. Farina began his career as a police officer, serving 18 years with the Chicago police department, and later used his experience to portray many roles as a cop. He went on to appear in a number of TV shows and movies, including "Bones," "Law & Order," "Get Shorty," and "Manhunter." His adept comic timing and spot-on characterizations made him an audience favorite. Farina was greatly admired by generations of fans and colleagues who enjoyed his work, as well as a variety of charities he supported throughout his life. His intelligence, wit, and charisma will never be forgotten.
