Dana Andrews, renowned American actor of film, television, and Broadway, passed away on December 17, 1992 at the age of 83. Andrews is best remembered for his roles in the movies classic films such as Kitty Foyle (1940), Laura (1944), Highway Drifter (1945), The Best Years of Our Lives (1946), and The Hucksters (1947). Aside from his impressive filmography throughout his forty-year-long acting career, Andrews was also a Golden Globe and Academy Award nominee. A New Jersey native, Andrews proudly served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II where he earned the rank of first lieutenant. Andrews is survived by his wife of fifty years, Mary Todd Andrews, and their four children. He will be remembered fondly for his immense talent and outstanding contributions to Hollywood.
