Christopher Lee, the highly acclaimed actor of numerous blockbuster films, passed away in the early morning of June 7th, 2015. He was 93 years old. Born in London, England on May 27th, 1922, Lee was the son of late Lieutenant Colonel Geoffrey Trollope Lee, and Vice-Admiral Estelle Marie. He attended Wellington College before joining the Royal Air Force during World War II. Following his service, he began his career in the entertainment business, developing a prolific film career that spanned more than 275 movies. He achieved international fame and acclaim for his roles in the films The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Hobbit Trilogy, Count Dracula in the Hammer Horror Series, The Wicker Man, as well as creating the iconic villain in the James Bond movie, The Man With The Golden Gun. He is survived by his wife, Gitte; daughter Christina; son, Patrick; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many loved ones. He will be deeply missed by fans around the world.
