Christine McVie, widely renowned British singer, songwriter and keyboard player, passed away on November 30, 2022, at the age of 79. McVie - formerly known by her birth name, Christine Anne Perfect - wrote and sang the majority of hits with the legendary rock group Fleetwood Mac, lending her talent to such classic songs as "Say You Love Me" and "Don't Stop". McVie was born and raised in the Black Country of Staffordshire, England, and grew up surrounded by music. In her teens, she began playing in various bands, including one with her brother John, and eventually began her long and successful career as a member of Fleetwood Mac. As part of the group, she released hit albums such as Fleetwood Mac, Rumours, and Tusk and earned critical acclaim for her performance at the now legendary Rumours tour in the late seventies. Although she took a break from the group in the 1980s, she returned to record on their album Tango In The Night and officially rejoined Fleetwood Mac in 2014 to join their On With The Show tour. McVie was an integral part of Fleetwood Mac's legacy of melodic, intricate, and timeless songs, and her profound innate knack for musicianship and songwriting will be forever honored and remembered.
