Christopher "Chris" Penn, world-renowned actor, passed away peacefully on January 24th, 2006 at the age of 40. Penn is best known for his roles in various independent and mainstream films, particularly Reservoir Dogs, Footloose, Rush Hour, and many others. He also had major roles in television with his performances in China Beach and L.A. Law. He began his career in television commercials before making his feature film debut in 1982. He was described as a hugely talented character, by his peers. His many successes on the big and small screens marked him as a steadfast player, able to maintain a certain level of success both in projects he assisted in choosing and those chosen for him. In 1997, Chris received an Emmy nomination for his performance in the movie A Fall From Grace. Chris is survived by his brothers, Sean and Michael Penn. He will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure to know him.
