Chadwick Boseman, 43, died at his home in Los Angeles on August 28th 2020, with his family by his side. He was an actor whose breakout performance came as Jackie Robinson in the Warner Bros. film 42. He was also known for his portrayal of King T'Challa in the Marvel Studios blockbuster Black Panther, which earned him and his fellow cast a Screen Actor's Guild Award. Prior to this he was an advocate for diversity in film, citing its importance to young audiences worldwide. Born in Anderson, South Carolina, Chadwick graduated from Howard University and later earned his Master of Fine Arts degree from Oxford University. His career in television and film began shortly after, with memorable roles in Get on Up, Marshall, 21 Bridges and Ma Rainey's Black Bottom. Chadwick was beloved by his family, friends and fans for his extraordinary courage throughout his four-year battle with colon cancer. His legacy and influence will live on in film, television and on stage for generations to come.
