Carl Panzram, a convicted murderer, rapist, arsonist, and burglar, passed away peacefully on September 5th 1930. He was born in 1891. With a long criminal history, Panzram operated mainly in the US and Canada. His criminal record included stealing, burglary, arson, rape, and murder. After being arrested three times, he was finally convicted and sent to Leavenworth Federal Penitentiary. His name was known as a scourge amongst the prisons he had resided in prior to his death. Even during imprisonment, he refused to cooperate and was often heard yelling, "burn the prisons and hang the wardens". Panzram was a testament to the dangers of criminal behavior. He was an example of how, if allowed, one could spoil their life and waste away in the criminal underworld. Although he was a menace to society and caused terror to those he crossed paths with, Carl Panzram will live on in the annals of criminal history As he requested, he will ultimately be remembered as a man who, despite all his wrongdoings, will never be forgotten. He will forever be a cautionary tale for the world.
