On March 23, 1931, Bhagat Singh, a revolutionary leader of India’s fight for independence from Britain, passed away at the young age of 23. Born on September 28, 1907, in Banga near the city of Lyallpur in Punjab, India, he had been an influential influences in the Indian struggle for freedom. A bright student in his youth, Bhagat Singh was a passionate advocate for India’s independence movement. He was involved in various acts of political militancy, including bombing several government offices and advocating for the use of violence in the fight for India’s independence. This led to his eventual heinous execution on 23rd March, 1931, when he was sentenced to death by hanging. Bhagat Singh was a devoted patriot and champion of civil liberties, and his life would serve as an inspirational example to countless generations of Indians fighting for their freedom and voicing their dissent against colonialism. Described as a hero of Indian Independence and a great freedom fighter of the 20th century, Bhagat Singh’s legacy will be remembered for generations to come.
