Anna Karina, beloved actress, model, and director, passed away on December 14, 2019 at the age of 79. Anna was born Hanne Karin Bayer in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1940. She began her career as a model, and in 1960, she made her film debut. During her illustrious career in the film and television industry, Anna worked with some of the most renowned directors of her time, including Jean-Luc Godard, with whom she collaborated eight times. Her well-known works include A Woman Is a Woman, My Life to Live, Alphaville, Pierrot le fou, and Band of Outsiders. In addition to acting, Anna also directed the film Vivre Ensemble in 1973. Anna was known for her unique presence on the screen. In addition to her acting, she was also lauded for her fashion sense and her beauty. Anna was beloved by fans worldwide, and leaves behind a rich legacy that will continue to be appreciated for years to come.
