Anita Pallenberg, renowned actress and model, died on June 13, 2017 at the age of 73. Born on April 6, 1944 in Rome, Italy, Pallenberg was the child of an Italian father and a German mother. She began her career modeling for designers like Jean Patou and Coco Chanel during the Swinging Sixties in London. Palleberg's modeling jobs lead to her first acting role in Richard Lester's 1965 film The Knack ... and How to Get It. Pallenberg went on to star in a handful of other films, including The Opening of Misty Beethoven, Barbarella, and Candy. She was also in the Rolling Stones movies, Performance and Nidhogg. While pursuing her career in fashion and film, she was in relationships with Stone Keith Richards and then Brian Jones, with whom she had a son before splitting in 1979. Pallenberg was widely respected for her unflinching fierce independence and her unique style, which influenced fashion and music in the 1960's and 70's. She is survived by her three children, Marlon Richards, Tara, and Angela, and her grandchildren.
