It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Andrew Fletcher, who passed away on May 26 at the age of 60, after a long and courageous battle with illness. Andrew was born on August 3, 1961 and grew up in Edinburgh, Scotland. Over his lifetime, Andrew developed passionate interests in science and engineering, drawing from his innate curiosity to become an accomplished researcher in materials science. At an early age, Andrew became an active member of various humanitarian organizations, dedicating much of his time to improving water access in developing countries. Throughout his life, he was a devoted and beloved family member, close friend, mentor, and leader in his community. He will be remembered for his compassion and dedication to helping others. He is survived by his mother, his two siblings, and his niece and nephew. May his spirit live on in our hearts forever.
