It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alex Rocco on July 18th, 2015. He was 79. Alex was born on February 29th, 1936 in Boston, Massachusetts. He was known for a wide range of work in the entertainment industry, including playing Moe Greene in The Godfather (1972) and appearing in several television shows, such as The Facts of Life, The Simpsons and The Brink as well as numerous films. In 1962, Alex married his first wife, Sandie, with whom he had two daughters. He later married actress Jennifer Greene in 1981. He and Jennifer adopted a son, Giuliano. Alex was successful as an acting coach and casting director, working as part of the faculty for the Harvard Summer Repertory Theater and the American Repertory Theater in Boston. He was also a part of the Screen Actors Guild and a successful restaurateur. Alex leaves behind a wife, three children, two granddaughters and a legacy of entertaining an audience to generations of TV and film viewers. He will be greatly missed.
