Today we mourn the passing of Ajmal Kasab who left this world on November 21, 2012 at the age of 25. Ajmal Kasab was known for his involvement in a series of 12 coordinated terrorist shooting and bombing attacks in Mumbai, India on November 26, 2008. He was arrested during the attacks and was the only attacker who was captured alive. In May 2010, he was found guilty of 80 offences including murder, waging war against India, possessing explosives, and other charges. He was executed in November 2012. While Ajmal Kasab's name will forever be linked with the Mumbai attacks in 2008, we should pause and remember him for much more than these events. While we mourn Ajmal Kasab, we must also remember and honour the victims of the Mumbai attacks, and all those affected by the events of 2008.
