Aadesh Shrivastava, a renowned Indian composer and musician, passed away on September 5, 2015, at the age of 49. Shrivastava began his professional career in 1990. His composing talents soon led him to become popular in Indian cinema and television. He wrote music for numerous films, including Chalo Ishq Ladaaye (2002), Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero (2005), Shootout at Lokhandwala (2007), and Bbuddah...Hoga Terra Baap (2011). He was known for his command of various musical styles, from traditional orchestral settings to South-Indian folk music. In recognition of his work, he won a Filmfare Award for Best Music Director in 2003. Alongside his success in film music, Shrivastava was well-known for his playback and music directing. He performed playback for leading singers in films like Lagaan (2001), as well as hit singles like "Kuchh toh hai tujhse raabta." He is also credited with directing the music of several Indian television shows, such as Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin and Kadam. Shrivastava is remembered for his contributions to Indian music, and will be dearly missed.
